What is Hustle aCTING & pERFORMANCE?

Hustle Acting & Performance is a youth acting and Drama program that encompasses more than just Acting and Drama.

During our 10-week program (one class per week), children will get the opportunity to express themselves creatively, while building their confidence as an actor through multiple performances.

Each class is 60 minutes in length and is a great mix of improv, structured theatre activities and script work.

We are firm believers that the theatre isn't just for actors. Our classes can help boost confidence, improve public speaking skills, and even lower anxiety.

Who is this program for?

As long as you're between the ages of 7-l4 you qualify (age range will vary at each location, so check carefully that your child's age range is covered at a given location ). This program is both for the serious actor as well as the beginner.

Depending on the average age of a class, we may allow 15 year olds to take part.

*NOTE: 5 Week programs (where offered) will only cover half of the above topics and include only one Performance

Our Program:

We use ONE instructor (Mikey Khan) , who carries 16 years of experience in Theatre, directed over 300 plays with children ages 6-15. Mikey has also helped many children audition successfully for drama specific schools , commercials and television shows!

Each location will also usually have a volunteer, who is studying theatre in secondary school and is a graduate of the Hustle Acting program

When you register for any of our programs, Mikey is your instructor!

Mikey is a graduate of the University of Guelph Theatre Arts program (2009)
Mikey has also held several management positions within other children's-based organizations (Mad Science of Hamilton Kitchener and Great Big Theatre Company)
We use 100% original content, written by our team, that deals with concepts and ideas familiar to the children of today!
Mikey has a background in working with children from all backgrounds, including children with disabilities
Mikey has completed over 100 workshops for schools in Peel and Halton, most recently (Jan -March 2024) partnering with Earnscliffe Senior Public School to provide workshops for the entire school.
Our program incorporates new material every term
TWO different plays will be performed in our 8 week program!! That's TWO chances per semester to present to family and friends!

Other Drama Programs

About Us

Director & Lead Instructor: Michael "Mikey" Khan

Mikey has worked with over 1,800 children in his 19 year career as a Drama teacher, and has been a guest teacher in over 70 Peel & Halton District schools within the last 8 years. He has directed Hustle since July 2019.

The Unversity of Guelph product has been in the classroom as a Drama & a Science teacher, and has a knack for captivating students with his energy & enthusiasm!
